Submissions (open until 4 December), requirements & jury:
Fotofestiwal was established in 2001 as one of the first photographic events in Poland. Since then it has become one of the most important and largest photography festivals in Central Europe, but its basic mission has not changed. We present different faces of photography, we talk through photography about important social and artistic issues, we introduce the audience to the unobvious beauty and unique history of Łódź. We organize exhibitions in post-industrial spaces, we emphasize networking events, we try to develop new ways of talking about photography. One of them is the original Photo-Match formula: A Completely Different Portfolio Review. Since 2016, all events have been organized collectively, in a horizontal structure—without a management. We are trying to work out a new way of managing a cultural organization.
Fotofestiwal 2020 will be held in Lodz, between 4 and 21 June.
