\nfu\u0308r Gegenwart \u2013 Berlin as Europe\u2019s premier event for contemporary artists\u2019 books and
\nperiodicals by artists and art publishers. Featuring 160+ international participants and a
\nseries of public programmes: discussions, readings, presentations, performances, and art

\ntexts and books by Bettina Allamoda, Marc Bijl, Beni Bishchof, Brian Kennon, and
\nJasper Sebastian Stu\u0308rup, with a performance by Discoteca Flaming Star. Additionally on
\nview are solo installations by recent artists-in-residence at Ku\u0308nstlerhaus Bethanien,
\nSveinn Fannar J\u00f3hannsson and Lewis & Taggart\/The Museum of Longing and Failure.<\/p>\nThe annual FRIENDS WITH BOOKS POSTER EDITIONS by Berlin artists features a new
\nposter edition by Monica Bonvicini; 25 of each edition are signed and numbered and benefit
\nFriends with Books at a special offer of 50 \u20ac. Erik Steinbrecher has created a new edition
\nto benefit Friends with Books, SCREW, 2016, bronze, 26 cm, edition 5, at 800 \u20ac.
\nFRIENDS WITH BOOKS is organised by Vanessa Adler, argobooks, and Savannah
\nGorton, Curator. Friends with Books is a registered non-profit organisation founded in 2014
\noffering greater visibility to contemporary artists\u2019 books and art publications, including an
\nannual art book fair, public programming, and partnerships with art organisations and
\ninstitutions, facilitating the engagement of diverse audiences with the book works of artists
\nand publishers worldwide.<\/p>\n
