After the successful first edition of the Biennale f\u00fcr aktuelle Fotografie, which took place in 2017 as the successor to the Fotofestival Mannheim-Ludwigshafen-Heidelberg under the direction of a curatorial team headed by Florian Ebner and Christin M\u00fcller, the 2nd Biennale f\u00fcr aktuelle Fotografie will be curated by English writer and curator David Campany, as announced by the festival\u2019s board on October 4, 2018. The 2nd Biennale f\u00fcr aktuelle Fotografie will take place between February 29 and April 26, 2020.<\/p>\n

Not only were we convinced by his recent curatorial projects and the range of topics he has dealt with; his work as a writer and, in his own words, as an \u2018image maker\u2019 also fit very well with the many aspects that comprise the Biennale: exciting exhibitions, a varied supporting programme and the opportunity to initiate a broad and deep discourse about the photographic medium.
