Fellowships for Curators and Artists at Salzburg Summer Academy 2023 \/<\/i><\/p>\n

The Fellowships for Curators and Artists at the International Summer Academy of Fine Arts in Salzburg are part of\u00a0ERSTE Foundation<\/a>\u2019s educational program and its long-term endeavour to support and strengthen contemporary art especially in the region of Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe. The fellowship program is realized together with ERSTE Foundation\u2019s long-time cooperation partners from\u00a0tranzit<\/a>,\u00a0Igor Zabel Association<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Kontakt Collection<\/a>. Kontakt Collection collaborates with the Zagreb based\u00a0WHW Akademija<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We would like to express our solidarity with Ukraine and the people who have to endure or flee from the ongoing war there. Therefore we open this program to Ukrainian artists as well and dedicate two fellowships to them.<\/p>\n

ERSTE Foundation offers fourteen fellowships for young artists and emerging curators from Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine to take part in a course of their choice at the International Summer Academy of Fine Arts in Salzburg 2023.<\/p>\n

Every summer some 300 students from more than 50 countries participate in over 20 classes at the Salzburg Summer Academy. Well-known artists, curators and critics from all over the world offer courses focusing on topical questions of art production, as well as curatorial practice and writing about art.
\nThe participants can choose from various courses taking place at Salzburg Summer Academy between\u00a017 July \u2013 26 August 2023<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The jury to nominate the fourteen participants is formed together with representatives from tranzit, Igor Zabel Association, Kontakt Collection\/WHW Akademija and ERSTE Foundation.<\/p>\n

Please note:<\/b>
\nAll applicants submit to a process in which the teachers of the chosen courses at Salzburg Summer Academy decide on the final acceptance.
\nApplicants who have already received this fellowship in recent years or have previously participated in other educational programs supported by ERSTE Foundation like the Artist-in-Residence Programme at Q21\/MuseumsQuartier in Vienna or the WHW Akademija Zagreb will not be given priority.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
