Intro
Join us for an online conversation with S()fia Braga who will present her work Platform Workshippers (2023–25), that is currently on view in the group show Platform Wars at Camera Austria. Braga‘s installation explores the logics of centralized platforms, self-marketing, and digital labor—from daily vloggers and NPC streamers to WIII-GRWM creators—and connects these practices to the tree of life as a mythological-religious symbol. Braga highlights how platform work can be both labor and ritual, revealing the power dynamics at play.
S()fia Braga (b. 1991) is an Italian transmedia artist and a leading voice in AI-driven cinematic storytelling based in Vienna (AT). Her work explores emerging technologies with a focus on human—non-human collaboration, more-than-human agency, and the power dynamics of centralized social media platforms.
