Preface

We would like to dedicate the present issue of CAMERA AUSTRIA to Erich Kees, who with his idealism and his dedication has laid the foundation for many of today’s photographic activities in Styria.

An issue where highly different artistic directions within contemporary photography are explored. We do not want to deviate from this principle, even though we have heard from all sides, most recently from the VÖAV, that the niveau of CAMERA AUSTRIA might be a bit too high for amateur photographers. We are concerned that this second year might be a rather difficult one, especially financially—so we are grateful if you recommend CAMERA AUSTRIA to your friends, and maybe even tell your bookseller about the magazine!
