Intro

Der Reader Landschaft fasst ausgehend von fünf Ausstellungen, die dem Thema auf unterschiedliche Weise nachspüren – Disputed Landscape (Camera Austria), Landschaft: Transformation einer Idee (Neue Galerie Graz), Politische Landschaft (Kunst im öffentlichen Raum Steiermark), sowie Landschaft in Bewegung und HyperAmerika (Kunsthaus Graz) – zahlreiche künstlerische und theoretische Ansätze zusammen, über die gegenwärtige Rolle von Landschaft zu reflektieren.

Mit Texten von Jens Asthoff, Estelle Blaschke, Reinhard Braun, Katrin Bucher Trantow, Gudrun Danzer, Günther Holler-Schuster, Christian Höller, Monika Holzer-Kernbichler, Katia Huemer, Philippe Kaiser, Alanna Lockward, Dirck Möllmann, Karl Schlögel, Elisabeth Schlögl, Claudia Slanar, Christian Schwägerl, Robert Smithson, Hannah Stippl, Thomas Weski und einem Gespräch zwischen Sabine Flach und Peter Pakesch.

Der Kurator und Autor Thomas Weski wird einen kurzen Vortrag über die Rolle der amerikanischen Kunstfotografen der 1960er-Jahre halten. Anschließend präsentieren die KünstlerInnen der Ausstellung »Uncovering History« Anthony Haughey, Jo Ractliffe und Ahlam Shibli ihre Arbeit, gefolgt von einem Roundtable-Gespräch mit den KünstlerInnen, Peter Pakesch, Reinhard Braun und Walter Niedermayr.
