It is our pleasure to invite you to the screening of the film Die Welt sehen: Der Fotokünstler Paul Albert Leitner on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 5 p.m. An artist talk with Paul Albert Leitner will follow the screening, taking place in his solo exhibition which remains on show at Camera Austria until August 17, 2025.
With wit and charm, the artist Paul Albert Leitner guides us through this documentary film by Tristan Zahornicky and reveals insights into his life and his work as a photographer. Traveling through Vienna and environs, places are shown that the artist once photographed, for him places of importance and fascination.
A freelance artist since 1986, Paul Albert Leitner is considered one of the most noteworthy personalities of the Austrian photo scene.
The journey—real and imaginatively—was to become one of the artist’s main themes, though his photographic works created in this context oscillate between forms of reportage, documentary, staging, and self-portrait.
