Intro
MISS READ: The Berlin Art Book Fair & Festival 2024 takes place from October 11 to 13, 2024, at HKW – Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin, and hosts over 340 exhibitors from more than 50 countries. Thus it is considered as one of the largest and most diverse art book fairs worldwide and an extraordinary international platform for the exchange on artists’ books and publishing as an artistic and political practice.
The festival focuses on global bibliodiversity and the decolonization of art book fairs. Afro-Feminist and Queer Voices, the festival program curated by Anguezomo Nzé Mba Bikoro and Pascale Obolo, will address historical and current afro-feminist and queer mo(ve)ments in German music, literature and film trough panel talks, music performances, film screenings, and workshops.
This year, Camera Austria is represented at a shared table with Grazer Kunstverein and presents Camera Austria International no. 167 as well as a selection of back issues and publications from Edition Camera Austria.
