Beschreibung

Das Ziel dieser Publikation ist es, die künstlerischen und institutionellen Entscheidungen, die für die Arbeit von Camera Austria prägend waren, sichtbar zu machen – sichtbar durch zahlreiche Ausstellungen und Symposien »zur Fotografie« und seit 1980 durch die Zeitschrift Camera Austria International. Das »Labor« Camera Austria – ein Netzwerk von Fotograf*innen, Akademiker*innen und Kunstkritiker*innen aus aller Welt – hat die fotografische Kultur sowohl international als auch regional geprägt. Im Mittelpunkt des Buches stehen Positionen von Künstler*innen, die Camera Austria in Ausstellungen gezeigt hat und die wiederum ihre Arbeiten auf Symposien präsentiert sowie Beiträge zur Zeitschrift beigesteuert haben. Diese Publikation begleitete die gleichnamige Ausstellung im Museum der Moderne Salzburg, 24. November bis 2018 bis 4. März 2019.
